¡Conectate! is the Chamber’s signature Latino businesses networking program. Our mission is to encourage engagement in a diverse community and to help Latino businesses prosper and thrive through information, service, advocacy and fun!
The Professional Women’s Alliance is a monthly networking lunch that is open to all women who want to learn, connect, and grow together while supporting each other in business and in life. Space is limited.
ANNUAL SIGNATURE EVENTS 2019:
A CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION
This year marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage and the passage of the 19th amendment, guaranteeing and protecting a women’s constitutional right to vote. This historic centennial offers a unique opportunity to celebrate a milestone of democracy and explore the relevance of the issues of equal rights today. The Hillsboro Chamber will bring together a forum of women leaders to collaborate and mentor emerging women leaders. The event will feature inspiring speakers with an opportunity to build connections and share experiences on ways to lead in women’s equality movement. Governor Barbara Roberts confirmed speaker.
CRYSTAL APPLE AWARDS
The Crystal Apple Awards is a wonderful way to provide recognition for outstanding educators, administrators and support staff of local K-12 schools in Hillsboro. Award nominees are nominated by their peers, parents and students based on their efforts to: Promote and model life-long learning as key to students’ future success.
The Business Walk is an annual outreach event that gauges Hillsboro’s business climate. Volunteers from across the area visit Hillsboro business all within a four hour period to obtain input on challenges, needs and interests. Information gathered helps the Chamber, City and County develop the most timely and effective business programs and solutions.
Highlighting outstanding Hillsboro residents, businesses and nonprofits that make a difference in their community. The Chamber’s annual Distinguished Citizen award is the highest honor the Chamber bestows, presented to members of the community who has provided outstanding service to the Hillsboro area over the years.
LATINO CULTURAL FESTIVAL
Started in 2004, the annual Latino Cultural Festival was originally designed to help connect the Latino business community with other local businesses. Featuring Latino art, food, entertainment and so much more, the Latino Cultural festival offers a chance for our community to welcome and embrace the traditions of the Latino Community.
This outdoor dinner will showcase local farm fresh ingredients planned and prepared by a guest Chef and expertly paired with regional wines all served family style. Our 2018 champions will return to defend their titles in the Dueling Cocktail competition! Sponsors will again go head-to-head with cocktails created and named for their company with guests voting for the winners
The Hillsboro Chamber’s 16th Annual Golf Scramble is the perfect setting to build business awareness between you and 144 players, business leaders and sponsors. There is no better way to spend a Friday afternoon than out on this award-winning golf course.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Summit
This year we are excited to launch the Hillsboro Chamber’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Summit. Join us at this half-day Summit to learn and hear how the business community and organizations are leading and implementing changes in the work of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within our business community and the community at large. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Summit brings together leaders in the civic, education, financial, governmental, health, corporate and legal communities to discuss where we are on the path to complete inclusion. More importantly, learn what strategies have created outcomes that have resulted in positive momentum towards a reality of equality and access for all. The Summit will be filled with challenges, connections, encouragement and inspiration presenting forward-thinking initiatives that encourage awareness and open, honest and courageous dialogue for all attendees. The Chamber organizes an annual manufacturers summit that brings together diverse manufacturers from Washington County and Portland Metro area. Attendees participate in a series of roundtables facilitated by an expert, learn more about a relevant topic from a keynote while growing their supply chain through M2M networking. The Manufacturers Summit is a manufacturing industry specific event.
